3 Days to Go

Hiya!
I’m so excited! FC is only 3 days away! Well, 4, actually, but I’ll be in LA in 3 days which is awesome enough for me!
Okey, so… Crazy stuff has been happening lately. Crazy crazy stuff. My life has been so freaking stressful in the last two weeks. I NEED this vacation now. I can’t handle any more. Seriously.
Also, I’ve reprised my fandom for Grey’s Anatomy lately. Seriously, I’ve been watching it non-stop since Thursday. And before that I was reading terrible fanfics. There is a serious lacking in good fanfics for this show. At least there’s some good videos. I don’t know why I randomly reprised it, but I did. That’s all I know. 
Sorry this is really scattered, but I have a class in about half an hour, so I should probably go to my lecture room very very soon.
Ooh, hey, lookie what I found last night:
I used to carry him EVERYWHERE with me as a child. This was pre-scary-Barney...
So that made me happy.
I also spent today shopping for nerdy things in preparation for FC. I got a bunch of Farscape comics and I managed to find a Stargate magazine from Sept/Oct. 2006! Interviews with Claudia Black and Michael Shanks AND a double-page spread of my dearest Shanks. Whom I get to meet on Sunday. WIN!
Okay, well, happy late Halloween and happy early Rememberence Day.

This Time, This Place

Hi!!
I realized I hadn’t updated in forever so I came online to write a quick post.
Let me just start off with: #ihateuniversity soooo much!! (yes, I’ve also spent way too much time on twitter.) I have crazy amounts of homework and my profs are all insane markers! Frick. I see a solid B-average coming up 
Which sucks when you’re trying to transfer schools!
Oh yeah, I have a quiz tomorrow. Shit! Hopefully it’s not too bad! It’s only worth 2% and for once I have done [almost] all of the readings…
/sigh At least I can look forward to the lovely release of FC in November. Finally found my passport so I just need plane tickets. At this point I could care less what classes I miss so long as I get to go. Seriously, I’m dying. Okay, well, not physically… Actually, technically physically, but not immediately like in the next few years. Just dying as much as anyone is at any moment. But I’m so crazily stressed out!
And I keep having insanely trippy dreams about leading revolts against crazy old men who turn babies into dolls. Wtf? Raise your hand if you think I need a psychologist! *raises hand* Hey, wait! Bad subconscious! << Did I just prove my own point?
I have a paper due in 16 days. Not looking forward to it. At all. Not even sure what I could possibly write about. How do you make a thesis statement when you’re comparing and contrasting two pieces of work (ie: Exodus and Gilgamesh)?
On the upside, my fanfiction Where Do We Go From Here is almost finished and I’ve got almost 100 reviews (seriously, I’m at 99 and I just posted a new chapter! YAY!). So at least there’s that. Plus, I have plans for a new OF called The Secrets of Megan (working title) about a little girl who appears to another girl in her dreams. Sounds cliche but no jokes it’s partly based on the little girl that frequents my dreams named Megan. No idea who she is but she’s frelling adorable and to be honest I feel this insane attachment to her now, even though she’s only ever appeared to me in my mind… Okay, psychologist shall be called in the morning then?
Oh man one of my classes tonight was all about Italian food so I have a craving for any kind of pasta right now. /sigh Closest I have at home is michelina macaroni Uncool!
Okay, well I’m uber-tired because I haven’t been sleeping much lately, so I’m going to bed now. Thus, the blog ends.

Hello!
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted and I think that’s a tragedy. So here I am. Posting.
Screenwriting was a pretty fun class. Just finished on Friday. I think I did fairly well but I don’t think the marks are up yet… ::goes to check:: Nope, not up yet. Oh well, I can wait I guess.
I abandoned my fanfiction writing for a little while but I’ve decided to get back to it before I leave on my trip. Posted 2 new chapters for Where Do We Go From Here? although I’m not overly fond of the last one. It’s a bit cheesy for me, but hopefully shippers will like it. I liked it for that reason 
I’m so excited!! Polaris is in less than 2 weeks!! And then I will get to meet the fabulous and gorgeous Claudia Black! 
. And David Hewlett is going to be there too, just to make it really epic! Then I’m visiting Bella. Then she’s visiting me
Plus, November is approaching and it will be the most epic of all vacations!! Farscape Con!! Seriously, is there a better way to spend a weekend if you’re a geek like me?!
Tomorrow I’m chilling with Sanchita. We’re going to walk around to different shops. I’m getting some custom t-shirts made, which will include:

In other news, I’ve decided to give up take-out. Well, save for the occassional Crazy Bread from Little Ceasars. . I’m also giving up ice cream and limiting my chocolate intake. I feel gross when I eat too much of the stuff. I feel better now that I’ve started this…

Hello!!
So I’m just chilling in my room right now, laptop exacly where the title says it is – on my lap. I’m considering what I want to watch – it’s between several more episodes of Gilmore Girls or one of my favorite Farscape eps… Hmm. Riviting stuff, huh?
Well my life hasn’t been quite as dull lately. Yeah, I’ve still been doing my Gilmore Girls marathons, but at least I’ve gone out as well. I went out shopping a couple days ago. I got the first season of Chuck and Continuum as well as other stuff like pajamas. Wow, that just makes me sound like I’m condoning my own laziness lol!! Oh, and I ordered Birds of America, which I’m super-stoked for. It looks like an amazing movie!!
I found out that Bella’s probably going to be back from her vacation on July 12th, meaning that I probably will get to vist her!! Yay!! Currently I’m going to be in Toronto on the 9th for the con and have my hotel until the 13th, which is perfect. She told me that I should come stay with her after she gets back and then when I fly back home, she’ll fly with me and stay at my place so she can visit people here. This is a plan I love!! I didn’t think I’d get to see her this summer, the way things were working out, but thankfully it appears I was wrong.
Another bit of exciting news – I have a good shot at going to the Farscape/Stargate con this year!! Meagan said I should go with her, which sounds uber fun, since we can geek out together and, hopefully, stop each other from saying really nerdy things or calling actors by character names… Anyway, my mom said she’d try to convince my dad, but she realizes since I’ll be 19, they really can’t stop me, since I’m paying for myself. Anyway, I really hope I get to go! It’s not 100%, but I’m getting close!!
Now, a short piece of sad news… I went to visit my grandma the other day, and it’s so beyond sad to think that two years ago she just needed a walker and was living in an apartment all her own. Now she’s in a wheelchair and can’t function by herself. She’s been in a nursing home for just over a year. She’s almost never very alert and she couldn’t hear a word I said the whole time. My dad kept having to repeat everything really loudly. And I was not speaking quietly!! She also can’t see very well and it’s getting hard for her to hold her head up. It’s so sad!! I love her so much, but I really miss how she was before, y’know. Back when she could carry on a conversation without an extraordinary amount of effort or difficulty…
Okay, back to happier stuff. I’m starting my class next Monday. Yay! And Bella gets back from Iran the night before. Yay!

Just wanted to say, I watched an interview with Lauren Graham and not only does she not know the significance of the monkey lamp (!!!), she said young girls always come up to her and say “Oy with the poodles already!” and she has no idea what that means!! /shame

Wise Old Owl

Hello!
So I finally have some things to report. Yay!
I went to see Star Trek yesterday! Loved it! It was pretty awesome. Although, I will say, it probably would have been better if people hadn’t continuously built it up for me… However, still awesome. If you haven’t seen it, I suggest you revise that quickly!
Today I went to the zoo with Carin and Leah! It was pretty fun. We saw loads of animals, of course. Although we heard some disturbing things about the male elephant’s …desires… *shudders*. There were also loads of peacocks walking around with all their giant feathers out. Got tons of cute pics
There was also a little statue of a kangaroo with an open pouch, so we took turns getting into it and taking pics. All of them are on Leah’s camera, though, so I don’t have mine, alas. Totally going to be my facebook dp though.
Oh we also had what we like to call an “extreme picnic”, which means basically that we had a picnic made entirely of junk food while sitting on a rock in the dinosaur exhibit that was five feet above the ground xD It was fun though!! Loads of cheetoes and smarties I love junk. Too bad I couldn’t find any M&M’s to bring… *sigh* Now I want M&M’s… /headdesk
We also discussed what zoo animal we would be. Leah said she just wouldn’t be a zoo animal. I said I would be a wise old owl who would look knowingly at all the passersby and occassionally nod at someone who looked smart. Or I’d be an animal who could easily scare people. Take your pick . But owls have always been my favorite!! SO cute!!! Carin would be either a spider monkey or a wolf, but I’m inclined to go with monkey. She’s very active and hyper.
Oh, and I got a stuffed koala and named her Kaylee
Also, in unrelated news, I totally finally booked a hotel for the con!!! YAY!!! So now I just have to worry about plane tickets, which shouldn’t be too big an issue, so long as we don’t wait ’til the very last second!
Humm okay well I’m actually about to collapse here. And I’m singing My Skin by Natalie Merchant to myself so I think that’s telling me “go to sleep wise old owl…” Even if owls are noctornal But hey, I’ve gotten no sleep as of late, so I need to quicly rectify that.

I Need the Lullabye, the Kiss Goodnight

Hello people!
So I haven’t been up to much lately. Talked to a lot of people (and somehow managed to get myself into an interesting boy situation), but besides that and reading, not much.
I’ve been really addicted to this DV FanFic lately called The Best is Yet to Be. It’s really well-written, but I don’t know. I think it just got a little too intense for me. Hopefully that’ll wear off by the next update, because it really good writing. Finding good writing is hard with FanFiction.
Which reminds me, I actually started a new FanFic. It’s called Where Do We Go From Here? It’s kind of my take on what should have happened in Unending. Maybe not what should have happened, but what could have, at least. Daniel and Vala still get together in the same way, but then she discovers she’s pregnant. They end up having two children – gorgeous, talented, intelligent and strong. But their kids have grown up never knowing a real life. So now that their daughter, Emmy, has found a way of getting out of the ship – the same way as on the show – they’re suddenly thrust into this new life, where not even their parents know them.
Hmm. Oh, so my Mother’s Day was interesting. I wished my mom a happy Mother’s Day as soon as I got out of the shower (didn’t see her before that) and then she told me my dad was putting my new bed together. So I went down to help him. Well… That was interesting. I was holding up the frame for him and I started feeling really nauseous and lost my eyesight and hearing ability for the most part. I told him I was sick and then went and collapsed on the bathroom floor. I have no idea what that was about! It was certainly strange.
Anyway, I feel a bit nauseous on-and-off still, but not like yesterday. Also, I’m really hungry all the time. I just ate like half a bag of those small cookies with the rainbow chocolate chips and I’m still trying to keep myself from devouring the nearby bag of cheetos. How sick is that? I think I’ve gone completely wonko!!
I suppose tonight would be a good night to start my idea of sleeping before four in the morning. Perhaps I’m just over-tired. Although I have still been sleeping until noon, so I’m really not missing that much sleep. Besides, what ever happens in the morning?? The only reasons anyone should get up that early are work and school. I don’t understand people who are awake before ten on a day off of their own volition. Creepers.
Ergggg! I still haven’t seen Star Trek, but I hear it’s really good. I was supposed to go today, but the friend I promised to wait and see it with rescheduled to Wednesday. If she reschedules again (since this is the second time), I’m just gonna go ahead and call up one of my other friends who wants to see it for a second time.
Oh, I did go out for a bit today. Had to explain about this site, actually, as a possible idea for a website about the renewal project in my neighborhood. Then I walked home for some exercise and stopped at the park for a bit. So at least I wasn’t just sitting alone at home all day long!
In other news, my best friend got a nose job the other night. And since she’s still in Iran, I can’t see her or make sure she’s doing okay. (Or see what her new nose looks like – though I suppose it will take a bit of time to heal…) Hopefully she will send me pics soon!

Hiya!!
Lol okay, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I can’t even say I’ve been busy because honestly, I haven’t… At least not for the most part…
So first of all, I finally have a summer vacation planned!! That’s right, it’s something geeky. But hey, it’s something geeky with my bestest bud Presuming she can come. She’s in Iran, so I haven’t heard back from her. She only gets mild internet access. But she’ll be back at least a month before it comes to pass.
So I’m going to go to Toronto for the Polaris 23 convention. I figured I could visit Bella at the same time. Which is sweet. She likes geeky things too so I’m hoping she’ll come. Anyway, Claudia Black, my all-time favorite actress, is going to be there!!! Which is frelling awesome!!!
I already have my tickets to the con. Just need to book a plane ticket and figure out if I’m staying with a friend or in a hotel. Aiming for hotel cuz I don’t like being a mooch.
Ohh so onto non-nerdy things, I looked after 14 of my cousins the other day. It was the anniversary of my uncle’s passing so we went with my cousin and my aunt up to visit my cousins and their kids. The youngest girl, 5, totally attached herself to me. She is adorable!!!! Anyway, yeah so she kept dragging me off to do something or other. I lasted well, so I’d say I’m in better shape than I initially thought.
And the second-youngest boy, 3, is also very cute. He kept grabbing my hands and jumping on the trampoline with me. Or making me pick him up.
There were quite a few violent incidences between the other kids, especially when they thought it would be fun to tackle me so I couldn’t help the other crying kids… But there were no serious injuries *takes a bow* And I didn’t have a nervous breakdown either
So my other best friend is now in India… Man they lead much more exciting lives than I do, huh? Lol oh well… I miss her though…
Okey, well I’m being beckoned with food, so I will end this blog for now.

Hi!!!!
(I’ve been talking too much with Meagan and Zoe They’ve got me “SQUEEE”-ing…) XD Oh well. This one is worth it. It’s a geek’s dream. Well… One of them…
First, I just wanted to say: I’m baptised!!!! YAY!!!! :D:D
Since I was baptised at 9, my family, Lenore, Eric and David all went out for breakfast. My dad and I were gonna leave at 11:30 because the show she was gonna be part of began at 12 and I wanted to be there. Unfortunately, I got wrapped up talking to David and Lenore (okay, seriously, David is hot!! You can’t blame me…) and my dad with Eric that we didn’t notice it was already 12! We left right away and arrived at 12:30.
Me: It’s a dumb show and we’ve already missed a few minutes, so I just want to see if that guy brought me a Daniel like he said he would.
Dad: Sure, whatever.
(finds and buys Daniel figure then goes to show)
(sits through first half)
Me: Hmm… I hope we didn’t miss her. Watch, she was the first person…
Dad: I dunno, we may as well stay, unless you want to go.
Me: Alright. I’m holding on hope.
*intermission*
I’m walking back to the room and have a mini-heart attack. You know who just walked by me? Jewel Staite and her husband!! Still, I convince myself to resist the urge to follow them and scream something nerdy and head back with my dad, hoping her presence is a sign she’ll appear on the show.
(sit through second half, consisting of 2 people from BSG, Seinfeld’s Soup Nazi, Sean Astin, and a few comic/game guys I didn’t know)
Me: …She was totally first…
Dad: Yeah. Sorry you missed her.
Me: It’s disappointing, but I’ll live…
Dad: Too bad we had to sit through 3 hours for nothing.
Me: Yeah…
Dad: At least a few of them were interesting.
Me: Yeah.
Dad: You want to go home or walk around some more?
Me: Well I kinda wanted that Desert Ops SG-1 set… Much cheaper here than anywhere else.
(goes and buys figures…)
Dad: We haven’t been down this aisle. Wanna go down here?
Me: I went down with Leah yesterday. It’s boring, but we can go if you want.
(sees a fair-sized crowd)
Me: What’s going on?
(sees Jewel Staite)
Me: WHAT’S GOING ON?!?!?!?!
(looks around)
Me: OMG AUTOGRAPHS!!!
(stands in line and pays for autograph)
Jewel: Hi!
Me: Hi!!
Jewel: What’s your name?
Me: Stephanie.
Jewel: *hesitates* … With a “ph”?
Me: Yep. Good job! Most people spell it wrong.
(Jewel smiles)
Me: I just wanted to tell you, you had the best shoes yesterday!
Jewel: (smiles) Thanks!! They were Marc Jacobs! And by the end of the day, my feet were killing me.
Me: I bet.
(Jewel finishes the signing and hands me the photo)
Jewel: Here you go (smiles again)
Me: Thanks!
Jewel: Take care.
(I try not to freak out in front of her and skip up to my dad. We then left)

Hi!!!
This weekend is mostly awesome! It has a few faults… I did something that killed my wrist and now I can’t even open a water bottle without crying. I’ve also got a massive headache (which is why as soon as this is done, my bed beckons me to sleep) and I have finals on Monday and Tuesday for which I have little time to study.
However, it has many awesome points, as well. I’m going to be baptized tomorrow! Finally I’ve looked forward to this for awhile. I’m a little nervous about reading my testimony in front of people, though. I’m kind of terrible with public speaking. Oh well, it’s for the greatest of causes!
Today was also awesome because I went to the Entertainment Expo and I got to see a live Jewel Staite panel! Then after we got to take pics with her, so I actually met her!! I could barely speak. But she said my shirt was awesome !!! Btw, it was black with I <3 McKeller written in white writing. Anyway, she is really nice and incredibly funny!! Her panel was awesome! I had to wait a long time for my photo, but it was really worth it!!
The only problem is that none of the footage I shot will allow me to upload it onto YouTube or Facebook. And I had people who wanted to see it!! So now I feel bad… Maybe it’ll upload on here?
I’m also going back tomorrow for a little bit cuz Jewel is doing some interview with Ed the Sock… So I have to see that.
Ooh I also bought tons of stuff! Farscape cards, Stargate cards, a Farscape badge, a Stargate t-shirt, a Firefly t-shirt and a shirt for Tina.
Anyway, I can hardly think straight, so I’m going to sleep.

Lol I just realized now how dirty that line can sound. It’s not, though. It’s from Like You by Evanescence.
So I’m totally addicted to this online forum – Claudia Black Online. Seriously, I didn’t post until five today and I felt all empty and weak I’m not joking… It’s a lot of fun. The people are excellent.
I’m so stoked because I actually get to sleep tomorrow!!!!!!!
And happy late Easter!! He has risen! He has risen indeed!
Ooh so I woke up on Easter Sunday and despite being 18, my parents had set up a “follow the Hershey Kiss” trail for me. I got loads of yummy chocolate, cheetoes (because I gave them up for Lent), an I <3 McKeller t-shirt and money to spend online. So I ended up buying a t-shirt that says “I’ll be your Vala if you’ll be my Daniel”, Farscape Season 2 (which came with all the comics FREE), and an uber-cute teddy-bear Because evidently I’m a 3 year-old
I went shopping today with Leah because she needed to get a birthday present for her mom (which she did). I must say, I got the MOST awesome pair of shoes ever created. I’m not joking: they are tye-dye!! With little peace symbols embroidered in them! They’re sweet! I feel so 1960’s. I also got 2 pairs of jeans. And one of them is totally a pair of bellbottoms. I feel so retro lol!
Oh yeah and I got my WMST final back and I got an A-!! So I should end the class with at least a B+ Which is excellent.
Okey, so I’m going to head off. And tonight I will get some sleep
